The UVEEKAI men's collection is engineered for days when sunscreen alone doesn't last: on the water, in the mountains, on the bike or out in the sun all day. Every piece is certified to UV STANDARD 801 by the Hohenstein Institute (NB 0555) — the test standard that measures the fabric wet, stretched and after washing, while the usual UPF 50+ labelling only rates new, dry fabric. The measured value: UPF 80, through the fabric alone.

Choose from long-sleeve shirts with thumbholes and a raised back collar, hoodies with a close-fitting hood including mouth and chin protection, long pants in dense UV-Tech 231 fabric, and swim shorts for the water. All pieces are chlorine- and saltwater-resistant, with chafe-free flatlock seams and concealed YKK zip pockets — a regular, close-to-body fit in XS to XL.

Once on, the fabric protects continuously — no reapplying, no rub-off from packs, wetsuits or sweat. That is why watersports enthusiasts, cyclists and people who spend a lot of time in the sun rely on textile UV protection as their first layer.

Machine washable at 30 °C on a gentle cycle. Shipping from Germany with DHL within 1–3 working days, free returns within 30 days.

Frequently asked questions

What does a tested UPF 80 to UV STANDARD 801 mean?
UV STANDARD 801 measures UV protection on wet, stretched and washed fabric — under real wearing conditions, not on new fabric in the lab. A measured UPF 80 means only one eightieth of UV radiation reaches the skin, in the water too.

Isn't a normal cotton shirt enough sun protection?
A light cotton shirt often reaches only around UPF 10 when dry and loses much of its protective effect when wet. UV protective clothing to UV STANDARD 801 is engineered and tested for exactly this case — the UPF 80 applies wet and stretched too.

How do I care for UV protective clothing?
Wash at 30 °C on a gentle cycle, do not iron. The UPF protection is built into the fabric construction itself and holds across many washes — that is part of the UV STANDARD 801 test.
