Certified to UV STANDARD 801 by the Hohenstein Institute (NB 0555) and classified as EU PPE Category I under Regulation 2016/425. The UPF value is preserved not only dry but also across multiple wash cycles, in salt and chlorine water, and under normal wear-and-stretch conditions — as explicitly tested in the UV STANDARD 801 protocol.
The fit is cut to standard proportions but rests slightly closer to the body — a deliberate choice so the shorts stay in place during stand-up paddling, swimming, or beach volleyball, and don't flutter in the wind. Flatlock seams and an elastic waistband retain full range of motion.
